She picks the man and the clothes

We’ve all known that when it comes to style and fashion women have held this corner for years. Setting and dictating trends that falls across both genders and inspires generations of fashion lovers.

However, fashion is not something the average man has, in essence, you either know fashion or you don’t. This leads onto the main point of this article, ‘women who still shop for their man’.

Now without emasculating a man, is it cool if your girlfriend/wife still buys your clothes, am referring to literally hand picking your t-shirts, blazers and jeans? Women that do this are they being allowed to or have they simply lost faith in their partners’ fashions sense?

A close friend said “the thing is, he used to dress so well, even he’s causal clothes did it for me but recently he’s just got lazy so I purposely buy and tell him what clothes to get, I have to pick the nice stuff, seriously he has hasn’t got a clue

With that said, surely when the courtship begins the one thing that attracts us to our partners apart from the obvious is fashion sense, if we’re then buying shirts and telling them what to wear doesn’t it loose its edge.

It’s one thing if your partner goes out and buys you an item of clothing as a gift, whether its jeans, shoes, etc, but it’s another thing to be fully dressed by her.

A study carried out by Mens warehouses ‘well-dressed men survey’ asked women what, if anything, they'd be willing to give up in exchange for their partner dressing better, the response:
10% of women would give up sex for a year.
10% of women would give up the internet.
20% would give up vacation days.
23% would give up their cell phones.
37% of women would give up going out to dinner.

It’s a natural instinct to want to look and feel the best. Moving as a well-presented unit is certainly key to maintaining this but there must be a point when a man should man up and well, dress himself, if he needs permission then I’m afraid there is no helping him.
